A lovely antique 19th century tall Chinese / Oriental rosewood marble top plant stand. The stand is in excellent original condition with pink marble top insert. Carving details are superbly handled. The apron has carved reticulated floral motif with a bead-work border on top. There is quarter panel banding around the marble insert, and high relief floral carving on the legs and cross stretcher. Planter is in exceptionally good condition for its age. Size: 20” Dia x 33”H top 16” Dia.

19th Century Napoleon III period French Louis XV style, Boulle style secretary desk cabinet. The secretary has opulent brass marquetry on a background of red tortoiseshell with gilt bronze ornaments. Upper portion of the  cabinet have three drawers and center door with fitted shelve interior, each side has three graduated open shelves. There is a single open shelve above the door decorated with a pierced bronze gallery. The cabinet's bottom portion has a central drawer and a sliding writing top covered with green felt. The drawer is decorated in the same style as the cabinet's upper portion. It stands on and is flanked by S- shaped cabriole legs executed with bronze sabot feet. The cabinet is in excellent general condition. It had some restoration by antique renovation specialists, and is structurally sound. We are offering for sale a very fine antique French gilt bronze mounted mahogany Empire bureau plat, early 19th Century. The desk has a rectangular top with two pull out trays, one on each side. Its top is covered by a burgundy gold-tooled inset leather writing surface and a very decorative gilt bronze border. The front frieze has a large central drawer flanked by pairs of side drawers with shaped corner brackets on each side where desk meets legs. The desk features finely cast ormolu mounts in the Classic Empire style including escutcheons and laurel wreaths, and has brass knobs. The desk is raised on four square section tapered legs that stand on square brass sabots with brass casters. Entire table veneer is exotic amboyna Burl wood and rosewood circles parquetry. Antique walnut Library Table late 19th early 20th century. This table has a rectangular-shaped top (which is made from a single board), a clean/plain skirt with two large drawers, and is raised upon four turned legs. It is constructed out of European walnut. The table is in very good condition for its age. It has some age imperfections that are expected from a 100 years old piece. Both drawers are missing original locks otherwise, the table is all in original condition. Origin German or Austria.

Measurements are: 58” L x 33 ½” W x 31” H  and 24” H floor to apron.

Bonheur Du Jour Ormolu and Sevres Style Porcelain-Mounted Amboyna and Ebony Napoleon III 19th Century. France

An antique 19th century French Napoleon III Bonheur du jour, or type of lady's writing desk. It is ornately designed with emboyna and ebony and decorated with Sevres style porcelain. Its architectural galleried upper section has a central mirrored niche flanked by Corinthian columns. The upper section also has a pair of cupboard doors decorated with a ribbon-tied porcelain plaque with painted depictions of Marie Antoinette and Mme Elisabeth in their centers. Cupboards open to a single shelf, and a leather writing surface sits over a rectangular case. Below are smaller drawers decorated with a porcelain-inset guilloche frieze. This frieze has a larger porcelain inset in its center front. Below these smaller drawers in the lower section are two large shelves framed by tapering fluted legs. The columnar legs have a porcelain plaque in their middle. The shelves have a mirrored back and shaped under tier with four short feet.

An antique 19th century French Louis XV style petite writing desk. It has a single long drawer with two bronze original handles, connected by four S-shape legs with bottom bronze mounts. Carved into the desk's top surface, into its apron sides and into its front are carved foliage scrolls with a single branch, accented with a black color. The desk is constructed out of exotic Lacewood. This desk is in very sturdy condition, it had minor professional restoration and repairs.

A fine example of an 18th century American Massachusetts lowboy. The rectangular molded top has pinched corners above a case with two long and three aligned short drawers. Its center has a molded arch above a shaped skirt and all are raised by cabriole legs that terminate with rounded padded feet. The lowboy's top is decorated with star burst inlay. This piece is constructed out of solid maple and curly maple. Its condition is very good for its age with some minor professional restoration which doesn't affect the age.
